Get ready to mark your calendars because World Refugee Day celebrations are making a vibrant comeback on June 21st and 22nd, 2024! We are absolutely thrilled to announce the return of this incredible event, where we’ll come together for a weekend filled with captivating performances, exhilarating games, and a heartfelt celebration of our rich tapestry of cultures and stories.
In order to make this event a reality, we need passionate volunteers like you to roll up your sleeves and join us in making this event an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Whether you’re a seasoned event pro or just eager to lend a helping hand, there’s a place for you in our volunteer team.
We need volunteers to fill the following time slots:
June 21st 4-6 pm
June 21st 6-8 pm
June 21st 8-10 pm
June 22nd 9-11 am
June 22nd 11-1 pm
June 22nd 1-3 pm
June 22nd 3-4:30 pm
For anyone age 14 or older interested in attending a shift, sign up here. You are welcome to sign up for as many shifts as you like; we will communicate with you about our volunteer needs after seeing your availability.
The sign-up form will also allow space for you to list any interests as well as accommodations you might need as a volunteer. We will do our best to make sure that everyone who wants to participate has a role to play.
All volunteers will be asked to attend a brief virtual training to prepare them for the event. If you have any questions, or would like to learn more about this opportunity, please email Kris Hansen at kristenhansen@utah.gov.
Please, share this opportunity with anyone you think would be interested in joining us on June 21st and 22nd! We cannot wait to work with you to celebrate the communities of Salt Lake City.
